Putin appoints former education minister special envoy to Ukraine
BELBEK AIRPORT, Crimea, Aug 19 (PRIME) -- Russian President Vladimir Putin accepted a resignation of Education Minister Dmitry Livanov and appointed him as a special presidential envoy for trade and economic relations with Ukraine on Friday.
Livanov has held the post of the education minister since 2012. He will be replaced by an employee of the presidential administration Olga Vasilyeva.
“I presume that Dmitry’s (Livanov’s) experience as well as his perseverance, nature, and skills at solving tasks he faced will play a positive role in the fulfillment of the functions he will be commissioned to do,” Putin said.
